Plague Locust Information
|
Locust activity is relatively quiet at present, with some localised pockets of heavier activity. This is expected to increase during the coming months.
As we have done for almost a year now, Nufarm continues to work closely with national and state bodies of the Australian Plague Locust Commission (APLC) and industry and grower groups.
Products for locust management are available. Overall, the company has made three times more product available over the 2010/11 season compared with an average years’ requirement for locust management and other crop needs.
|
These include Astound Duo, Fastac Duo, Adonis, Regent and Fenitrothion.
The situation on the ground can change rapidly as the locusts develop. It is important to plan ahead with your product orders to ensure supply As we get closer to treatment timings, there are some common questions we get asked about supply and control options.
And as always, be sure to contact your local distributor or Nufarm sales manager to discuss your individual needs.
