For almost 20 years Acrobat has been a valuable, yet often underutilised, fungicide for disease control in a range of horticulture crops in Australia.
|
Acrobat SC delivers an easy to handle liquid formulation and is registered in key horticultural crops including cucurbits, grapevines, lettuce, onions, poppies and potatoes.
It can also be used in a number of situations under an APVMA Permit. These include leafy lettuce, silverbeet, spinach, spring onions, shallots and snow peas.
Acrobat’s unique mode of action provides strong forward disease protection, giving growers an invaluable option for the management of fungicide resistance for diseases such as downy mildew and late blight. For example, downy mildew fungi strains resistant to metalaxyl have developed in wine grapes of the Hunter Valley, New South Wales. This means that Acrobat SC will be an increasingly important component of fungicide programs in the future.
The information on these pages provides growers and advisors with technical information to support the use of Acrobat SC. Its use in disease control programs will allow growers to deliver the best possible produce.
