Commercial oilseed poppy crops are grown in Tasmania for pharmaceutical purposes. Yield losses can be caused by downy mildew (Peronospora arborescens), which spreads rapidly through the crop in the right conditions.

Application timing

Maintain a protective spray program at the early run-up stage of crop growth. Acrobat SC in combination with Penncozeb 750DF (mancozeb), should be applied when conditions favour downy mildew during the late run-up to hook stage. Do not apply later than early flowering stage.
