ProGibb SG is a plant growth regulator for pastures that makes leaves grow bigger and faster thus creating significant gains in dry matter (DM) yield when climatic conditions limit normal pasture growth rates.
ProGibb can lift DM yield by 30-60% within three weeks of application and is most effective during spring and autumn conditions, making it ideal for New Zealand dairy farm systems.
Properly utilised, the extra DM generated by ProGibb SG offers dairy farmers the potential of increased productivity, less reliance on supplementary feed, and higher milk solids (MS) income.
Nufarm has been extensively trialing ProGibb SG in New Zealand farming systems over the past four years.
Over 55 trials have been completed in total, including replicated plot trials, on-farm split paddock evaluations, large-scale on farm evaluations and independent feed quality analysis. Nufarm has also worked closely with Otorohanga farmer Trevor Walters on a farm pilot trial last year.
