New Zealand Commerce Commission proceedings
|
The New Zealand High Court has delivered its judgement involving penalties awarded against Nufarm entities following an action brought by the New Zealand Commerce Commission in 2005.
The proceedings relate to the alleged conduct of companies, including companies previously owned by Nufarm, involved in the timber treatment business. This business was sold by Nufarm in 2001.
Penalties awarded against Nufarm entities total NZ$1.9 million, with an additional NZ$75,000 in costs.
The company has fully provided for the liability associated with this matter and it has previously been disclosed.
