UK Competition Commission Provisional Findings
|
Nufarm notes the publication of the UK Competition Commission's Provisional Findings and the associated notice of Possible Remedies with respect to its inquiry into the completed acquisition of AH Marks. This is the next stage in the Competition Commission process and no final decisions have been taken. Interested parties have been invited to submit a response to the Commission’s Provisional Findings and further discussions will take place between the Commission and Nufarm on possible remedies.
Nufarm believes that its acquisition of AH Marks will help deliver important benefits to both distribution and grower customers in the UK. The acquisition is also an opportunity to invest in and develop the AH Marks business in the UK.
Nufarm will continue to work constructively with the Commission on the concerns the Commission has identified, and we remain confident that these issues can be addressed to the satisfaction of all parties.
The Competition Commission investigation is expected to be completed by mid February 2009.
