Nufarm confirms sale of SEAC subsidiary
|
Nufarm Limited announced today that it has completed the divestment of its SEAC pharmaceutical intermediates business. The business, based near Lille in France, has been sold to Minakem Holdings S.A.S for total consideration of €23 million.
SEAC is a manufacturer of intermediate chemistry used in the production of pharmaceuticals. The business was acquired by Nufarm in 1998 as part of the acquisition of a larger French public company, CFPI.
The sale of SEAC is consistent with Nufarm’s intention to focus on its core crop protection business which, in financial year 2005, is expected to generate some 95% of total company revenues.
