Clinic Ace pre harvest in cereals

 Pre-harvest is the optimum time to control weeds such as Couch grass, Onion couch and perennial broadleaved weeds. If harvest management is the main objective, timing is critical for optimum performance

Control of Couch grass and perennial broad leaved weeds
|
The best timing for control or Couch grass and other perennial grassweeds is just when they are coming into flower. The rate of Clinic Ace will depend upon the level of infestation and can be from 2.0 l/ha to 4.0 l/ha. Perennial grassweeds other than Couch and perennial broadleaved weeds will require a higher rate of 4.0 l/ha. The use of an adjuvant is recommended at the lower rate.
Application must be at least ten days before harvest. If the Couch has started to senesce control will be less effective

| Onion couch with its familiar root nodules shown on the right matures earlier than Common Couch. Control in winter wheat would be too late as the Onion couch will have started senescing. This weed needs to be controlled in early maturing crops such as winter barley

| | Pre harvest is the best time to control perennial broadleaved weeds such as Thistles just as they are coming into flower. Seeding will also be prevented. Leaves must be green at the time of application

Harvest management
|
The timing of Clinic Ace pre-harvest is important and should be at the hard dough stage shown below. An application of 1.0 l/ha with an adjuvant will aid harvest management. If annual broadleaved weeds are present a higher rate of 1.5 l/ha plus an adjuvant will be required
If perennial weeds ar the primary target then leave a minimum of ten days before harvest. Timing is more flexible if harvest management is the objective between 7 an 14 days before harvest
