Alternatives to straight mecoprop-p
|
Any newly manufactured straight mecoprop-p (CMPP-p) i.e. Duplosan KV, Compitox Plus or Isomec, no longer carries a recommendation for use in newly seeded leys or established grassland. Any stock of old mecoprop-p carrying the grassland recommendation must be used up by 30th November 2009.
Nufarm, however have several products containing mecoprop-p to fill the gap. Traditionally mecoprop-p has been used in grassland to control Chickweed especially in rotational grassland or poached grassland. Mecoprop-p is also widely used to contain Docks in established grassland as part of a programme or on its own as a cost-effective method of preventing competition from Docks.
Nufarm have good, highly cost-effective alternatives with the added benefit of controlling a range of other perennial weeds too
