Nufarm Receives EPA Registration of Kaiso™ 24 WG Insecticide

Burr Ridge, IL - Nufarm Americas Inc. announces receipt of the federal registration for Kaiso™ 24 WG Insecticide. Kaiso™ is a 24% wettable granule formulation of lambda cyhalothrin. The formulation is made from a patented Sorbie™ technology and is labeled for use on key crop segments such as row crops, vegetables, nuts and fruit. Like most pyrethroids, Kaiso™ is highly active on a broad spectrum of insect pests, especially Lepidoptera (worms).
“We are excited about offering the growers a new technology for insect control”, says Brett Sutherland, Nufarm’s Director of Marketing. “This unique Sorbie™ formulation of lambda cyhalothrin gives growers access to one of the most effective pyrethroids in one of the most user friendly forms.”
According to Tom Kroll, Sr. Product Manager, “Sorbie is a patented technology that was developed in Australia. The technology allows for the manufacture of a wettable granule using an active ingredient that is generally only formulated as an Emulsifiable Concentrate. The result is a material with the performance of an EC and the handling characteristics of a dry, offering the best of both worlds.”
