Nufarm's Popular ProDeuce and Razor Burn Herbicides Likely to Attract a Crowd Again at GIS

(Burr Ridge, IL) -- Nufarm Americas has a long history of developing successful products for a demanding market. Two unique products that met with industry-wide approval in 2007 will be key factors in Nufarm’s success this year. Both ProDeuce™ and Razor Burn™ should attract their share of attention starting Thursday at the Golf Industry Show (GIS – booth #4280) in Orlando, Florida.
ProDeuce was enormously successful last season when introduced on a preview basis. The dual action, pre- and post-emergent herbicide sold out its limited production run and was widely met with customer acceptance. Razor Burn lived up to its expectations and users were unanimous in their findings; the herbicide worked as promised in just 24 to 48 hours.
“The combination of active ingredients centered around the non-selective, contact control of glyphosate works very well and that’s the key to success for ProDeuce and Razor Burn,” said Tim Birkel, U.S. product manager who handles both products. “With ProDeuce, we paired it with the pre-emergent control of prodiamine. Razor Burn relies on diquat for the quick burn down. The two have proven to be very effective and we are hopeful that customer satisfaction will result in more inquiries at GIS.”
ProDeuce is the perfect product for golf superintendents looking to reduce the number of multiple weeding applications throughout the season to their property. It eliminates nuisance weeds and prevents the growth of many others from prone areas around and within mulched beds of well established plants, as well as to cracks and crevices and throughout gravel areas. Besides the convenience, ProDeuce further impacts the budget by lessening the cost damages associated with mechanical trimmers, in addition to reducing labor costs.
Razor Burn is a liquid, pre-mix formulation and offers broad-spectrum, non-selective control of many annual weeds, perennial weeds, woody brush and around trees. It quickly controls weeds in ornamentals, bed maintenance, crack and crevice treatments, brush and vine clearing, and perimeter treatments. Razor Burn moves through the plant from the point of foliage contact, and into the root system for complete systemic control. The results are almost immediate; visible results on most annual weeds occur within one day, two days for most perennial weeds.
