Nufarm Debuts Spoiler - Highest Loaded 3-Way Phenoxy Post-Emergent Herbicide - at Golf Industry Show

(Burr Ridge, IL) -- Nufarm Americas is set to introduce Spoiler™, the highest loaded three-way phenoxy mix available to the golf market, when the Golf Industry Show (GIS – booth #4280) convenes Jan. 31 – Feb. 2 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The post-emergent herbicide is one of two new herbicides Nufarm will offer this year.
“Spoiler is the ultimate phenoxy three-way combination for turf and ornamental lawns. We believe it will be a very efficient product as it delivers twice the 2, 4-D load of Triamine at the 48 oz. rate,” said Tim Birkel, U.S. product manager for Spoiler.
Birkel is optimistic in his assessment based on the response Spoiler received in late October. When the product was previewed for lawn care and landscape operators at the Green Industry and Equipment Expo in Louisville, questions ranged from application rates to how and where it can be applied.
“With a high rate of three different amines, Spoiler delivers unsurpassed broadleaf weed control, plus it offers a reduced risk to ornamentals and dicamba sensitive plants. Spoiler not only will give a golf course superintendent plenty of bang for his buck, but it will also give them many options depending upon their situation,” Birkel said.
Spoiler’s rate range allows for delivery rates at varying levels of weed pressure and reduced packaging. Without dicamba in the mix, Spoiler has reduced herbicide persistence in the soil, increased safety for shallow-rooted woody plants and applications within the drip line of trees. Spoiler may be applied through most standard sprayers after dissolution and thorough mixing with water according to label instructions. It will be available through Nufarm’s normal distribution channels.
